LIFE IN VERONA (ACT I, SCENE I RE-WRITTEN)

You've all been asking this for a while, so I thought I'd tell you all about my time living in the City of Verona, Italy. I came from the United States four months ago, and only two days into living in Verona, I learned that crime is rampant in this city. (Like Detroit, but without the job shortage) Two men who I'll call Sampson and Gregory were going on about how they hate this other family and the things they'd do, if I recall they were talking about the Montagues. So I'm standing there just minding my own business when Sampson looks over my way and says to me,"What're you looking at?" and tell him nothing. He turns his head to speak to Gregory and just as he's about to speak, he sees these two other guys on the edge of his vision and says to Gregory "Let us start a quarrel with the men of Montague." So I say to him, "Hey now fellas, let's not be too hasty here. What's this feud about?",

"None of your business." Gregory said to me. I suddenly found myself caught between two families that have been feuding for quite a while. In that same moment, Sampson pulls out a lance and is about to put a hole in those Montagues. I knew I was in for a long day from then on out.

Romeo's Thoughts On Juliet's Passing (MONOLOGUE RE-WRITTEN AS A POST)

In faith, I will. Let me peruse this face. Mercutio's friend, noble Paris! What did that man say when he betossed my soul. Did we not watch as he did the deed? I think he told me Paris should have married Juliet: Did he not say so? or did I dream it so or am I just crazy, hearing him say the name Juliet. To think it was so? Please give me your hand, One writ with me in sour misfortune's book! I'll bury you in a triumphant grave. No! A lantern, slaughter'd youth, for here lies Juliet, and her beauty makes this vault a feasting presence full of light. Death, lie right here there, by a dead man's fate.
